Ughh…. I need to vent….

At the end of last summer a family moved into the house in front of ours. I have never talked to them, not even exchanging a nod or anything. They have two little girls, I would have to say that one is about 7-8 and the about 6… A little more then an hour ago they came home from school and the dad decided to take them on a bike ride. The little one clearly didn’t know how to ride a bike and fell quite a few times. No one helped her or encouraged her and she quickly became frustrated and threw her bike down on the ground and stormed to the front of the house. The older sister waited a few seconds but the dad just got off his bike and put her bike back in the back of the house and then left with the older girl. A few minutes later the little girl asked her mom to have the bike again, the mom refused and said that she had to go anyways and told her to get in the car. She got even more upset and wanted to go back in the house but the door was already locked… she then went in the car and then promptly got out and slammed the door. The mom just stayed in the car and didn’t say a word. When the Dad came back he asked what happened and the mom told him… the little girl he got all red in the face and crying was hudled near the front door…

The Dad told the mom to go and told the girl to go to her room… she said that the door was locked and he just kept on screaming at her while he unlocked the door. When the door was open he told her to get up and she did, very quicky, not noticing that the window above her head was open, (she knocked her head so hard that I heard it from inside my living room) she then fell to the ground… the dad told her to get up, grabbed her arm and then shoved her into the house without even checking her head and told her to go to her room… he then went in briefly, got a beer and a chair and sat outside the door… He is still sitting there and it has been about 40 mins… the little girl has come to the door twice and each time he told her to get back in and then closed the door loudly behind her….
How can people treat their kids so poorly?

I have a feeling that the whole situation could have been avoided if one of the parents would have encouraged and helped her in the first place.

Finally… :)

Ughh… I have been having a bit of problems web wise the last few days…. I almost deleted my blog completely while trying to do something with a my new pregnancy blog that will soon be up… Then the message board went weird with a database error and a file that went haywire (for no reason that I can see) and then I decided to get my new site up and it didn’t work out at all and I finally found the error earlier today….

Anyways… While I should have been concentrating on getting the french version of my site up I was preoccupied with just making it look better. So now I like the look a lot more… and it doesn’t make me cringe as much when I send people to the site 😉

Someone gave me some really good feedback a while ago (you know who you are) and I thank you so much. I haven’t gotten it all in but I am working at it…

So.. now the message board has it own domain (thegreenerpastures.com), my website is finally working under the domain name that it had and that I never could figure out how to work (paxyebelle.com) and the blog has been saved…

Oh… and backups have been made!

Good friends…

I spent the day with my friend Isabelle and her kids on Friday. It was a gorgeous day and while we stayed in the house before lunch we got out right after and went to the her Farm and went to see the new 2 day old baby goats and the chickens. The boys had a lot of fun seeing the animals and I was told that Xavier was having a lot of fun trying to catch a certain hen… I of course started to swell up and started having trouble breathing with the dusty, uncirculating air inside of the building… I had to get out of there as soon as possible after…

The snow is melting and the kids were all having fun playing in the puddles. While we were Tapping a Maple tree in her yard (getting some fresh maple water) the kids found a big puddle that was higher then their boots… We went inside to change the kids so that we could stay out side a bit longer. Xavier told me that his feet were wet, I noticed that his boots were swelled up and when I took his feet out, there was at least an inch of water in his boots….
We got them changed and headed back out… every few minutes the rest of the day we heard geese flying over head… they are flying north early this year….

Here are a few pics…

Simon is home for the week….

I haven’t been posting much the last few days (or reading many other blogs etc) because Simon is home for the week…. Sunday was his birthday so we had our friend Yan over and then yesterday MIL and SIL came over for supper… today will probably be a relaxing day since the housework is mostly done and it is supposed to rain…

I also want to start my seedlings for my garden… I don’t have much space but I have a little Garden… We have been living here for 2 years now and the first summer I started the Garden off too late (and I was quite pregnant with Colin) and then last year I started my seedlings off great and they got cold when someone forgot to close the window…. then I did have a few things grow but the garden went a bit crazy during the summer and I just couldn’t keep up… especially with Colin not wanting me to work on it…
This year I want it to work… I am going to have tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, lettuce, onions, beans, carrots, herbs and  pumpkins (we got 2 last year) (I forget if I got other seeds…)

Anyways… I’m around… and I have a whole new section comming… I hope you all don’t mind that between my rants and my ramblings I am going to be adding more and more misc. memories from my childhood… I have long wanted to write them down and I think that this is as good as a place as any….
