a few pics…

I spent all morning editing the pics I took yesterday of my friend Gen… they turned out so well and I can’t wait to show her… I am really pleased with them…

I do have a few pics of Khéna that I want to share from his birthday on Friday… we did things really quiet… ordered Pizza and got Sushi and I made a Carrot Cake…

It was just us… and it was perfect…

Sushi… at his request… really he is the one that said it…

Seeing his cake…

Blowing out Candles… he actually did it the first time so quickly that I didn’t get a pic so we did it again..

proud boy…

My two year old..

First Snowy day…

Here is looking out my Kitchen Window when I woke up…

a few inches and it hasn’t stopped falling since…

We had breakfast… played around at the kitchen table for a while with modeling beeswax and crayons and then the boys wanted to go play outside… and they stayed there for almost 2 hours…

They played and built things and slid down the stairs on the flying saucer… even though it was a bit “bumpy”…

I just love seeing the kids play outside like that… just having fun…

When they came back in I made some hot Cocoa and put on a movie…

I love these kind of snowy days…

(and yes, Khéna looks tired in the last pics… he fell asleep soon after and is sleeping on me as a write this)

along the way…

Yesterday, just as I got the muffins out of the oven I got a call from a friend to go over to her place… So I quickly made a baba ganoush with the eggplants that I already had cooked and waiting in the fridge, got the kids ready and left…

Though it was cold yesterday it was gorgeous… and on the way I decided to take a few pictures…
I was surprised to see a goose still here… it was alone on the river…

My friend lives about an hour away… near Mont St-Hilaire and just near where Simon grew up…
The light is strange in this pic but here is the mountain…

and up close, nearing my friends house…

and along the way from my house to hers, is mostly flat farmland… many of the farms are old and there are so many old barns just waiting to be photographed.. and Yesterday the gold colours of the harvests just stood out…
