Sat Night….
Well… two weeks ago I went out…. now it’s Simon’s turn… He is going out alone tonight, to coffee place and maybe out for supper, getting a little time to himself to write.
He has been writing for quite a while now but our family and his work has made him put it on hold a bit more then he we would want…Â Tonight will be good for him…
I am still not feeling 100% better… but at least the kids are OK….
We went and picked up some food, dropped Simon off and then came back here to watch a movie and eat in the livingroom… I am going to get the kids in the bath soon and get them to bed and then work on my site a bit more… besides a few information pages on AP and links etc the English site is pretty much finished…
I have also translated the template to french so the rest shouldn’t be too hard…. Maybe one day I’ll actually be finished !
Today I finally fixed the Registration page….so you can now register for my blog….
I might be making a few posts private so you will need to register to see them (my rants mostly)…
I am still debating it though…. If you have this arrangment on your blog (private posts) tell me what you like about it and what you don’t…

My throat hurts… Xavier’s nose is runny…Colin looks fine….
I don’t want to be sick… I don’t want the boys to be sick..
Last year was the year of the never-ending cold… we were all sick one after another and all at the same… this year has been great… besides Colin’s fever before Xmas we have been healthy this year… it was bound to happen but I don’t want it too…
Speaking about Colin, I am bringing him tomorrow for the blood tests I think…. it has been a month and he has been back to normal for a few weeks now….
That way I can get the results back in time to go see my family Doc… I will be going to a Talk by Gordon Neufeld on Feb 7th so I will be in Montreal anyways and can make the appt with my doctor the same day…. I am anxious to see the results…
Now… Nelson (my aging feline) has tons of sores on his body and has been having tons of accidents lately… so we are aff to the vet to see whats happening… this will be interesting…. 2 tired kids and a sick cat…
I have purposly not had Colin take a nap yet today… Hopefully he will fall asleep in the car and then sleep through the vet visit… if not… he will sleep well tonight…
BTW…. the toddler bed is great… Colin loves it and can go on his bed suring the day and sits there with a book often…. it is also great that he can get up by himself when he wakes up and is in a generally better mood when he wakes up from his nap….

Colin didn’t sleep but both boys where great and intersted in the whole visit.. Nelson on the other hand wasn’t too impressed…
Nelson is having an allergic reaction to fleas… it is his first case of fleas in 15 years so I guess it isn’t too bad… we got some “Advantage” for him which seems pretty good since it is a once a month thing and especially since we don’t have to treat the house as it will kill any Lavae etc as Nelson makes his normal rounds….He also has a small Urine infection and will need antibiotics for a few days, hopefully that will clear up the accidents that he has been having… Sadly though, like many cats his age he has developed a heart murmur… I did a bit of quick research and saw that it is pretty common at his age andthat it really isn’t too worrisom…. the vet suggested going to the vet hospital (45 min away) and getting an ultrasound etc but I don’t know if we will… he is still in great shape and has no signs of heart trouble….
On the way home Nelson peed in the Carrier (Ughh..) I had put him on the front seat next to me and a few times he shook his paw and I got sprayed with Cat pee…. EWWW….If you know what cat pee smells like then you know how gross t is….. if you don’t then you are lucky cause it Stinks!!! I got home, Colin fell asleep… put him down in his bed and then gave Nelson a bath… Ah the joys of giving a pee soaked cat as bath….

I am still busy working on my site and trying my best to get it up completely… I really have to work hard especially to get the french site up… Right now I have finshed all my product pages but I am missing the text and info pages… This is one reason that I might be here a bit less for a few days…
Yesterday a nurse from the CLSC came here and choose a Sling and learn how to use it. I wasn’t sure if it was for her daughter who is pregnant or for something else, but she explained that since I gave the presentation to the nurses they have been talking about Babywearing at all of the pre-natal classes and they have been giving my name and number out. However, because they had nothing to show the moms didn’t know what it really was and most just thought it was a snugli type carrier so the nurses asked for the budget to buy a sling….
Now, at Pre-natal classes they are going to be showing the Sling and a bit of how to use it and giving my info along with it… This, is going to be great! The new babies are going to have a chance to be held more and maybe more people will be more in tune with their kids, I am also going to be selling more slings and maybe other products… This is another reason that I want to get the french site up and running as soon as possible… the area here is solely french and the site will give the new mom an oppurtunity to see and chose on line and even pay by credit card….

Just back from voting…
OMG what a hard one that was…. what to choose between bad, worse, and dirt….
What happens when there are no parties that really have anything good to say… and if they do they have a dark side that just shouldn’t be reckoned with….
The news and the polls keep on metioning that the Conservatives are going to win.. If they do I want to move… Harper is one scary dude with a bad haircut and his politics are not what this country needs… I like what Micheal Moore has to say on this subject…
This election has been rough too.. the first time that I have seen the adds go so much the ones that I see in the US…. Instead of saying what they have to offer…. they put the other party down… so the question is no longer what is the best choice… but what what are the worst…
Instead of knowing which way I was going to vote right off the bat… I went the other way and eliminated the worst… ultimatly ending up with a choice that I wasn’t happy with but was still better then the worst….
For now… I am laughing at Rick Mercer… and waiting for the results… The polls have closed in Eastern Canada, and the Networks are blacked out on TV so we can’t see whats happening….
