I am "a hippie with a minivan". A mom of four who has chosen to take the less travelled roads in parenting. We are a unschooling family and learn through life without punishments or rewards. I am a Needle Felting Artist, I love being in the Kitchen, and love to share my passion of Natural Parenting through Workshops and Mentoring. We have a big dream of living on the road and we are in the process of converting a bus!
Zowie! She’s early… My little one’s been cruising (and walking by holding my hands) for the past 3 months or so but will not let go! I am soooo ready for him to let go and walk. soooo ready! 😉
She looks so happy setting off on her own! My fourth child walked at 8 months without having crawled much at all and I have no idea why or how. Her brothers and sister walked on the dot of 1 year old but she was standing at 5 months and fought to walk from then on. We hoped that walking would bring her some sense of contentment and accomplishment but it just seemed to be a sign of her drive and determination which is still strong now, three years later.
The littlest person is always so well observed don’t you think? There are so many of us to watch her and marvel at her that everything new that she does is a bit more special for being so shared.

She looks so sweet. My third child is 7 months, and I’m so not ready for this stage yet. I want it all to slow down 😉
I’ll bet she’s inspired to keep up with her brothers! So cute with those mary jane socks, too!
The boys were early walkers… Xavier and Colin were both 9 months and Khéna was a bit later at 11 months but but that was pretty impressive with his weight…
I actually thought that she would be walking by now but I have to say that am enjoying her staying in this stage a bit longer…
