I told you about my love of the books that I made… and the great deals I have gotten from Shutterfly
Now it’s your turn…
I can give 4 people the oppurtunity to get their own free 8X8 hard cover book from Shutterfly. (as long as you are not already a member 😉 )
The catch? I would love to know how you found my blog and what brings you back!
I’ll choose the four lucky people at random on Sunday morning.
Wow! That sounds totally cool! 🙂
Ummm…we met on a BabyCenter message board (Our 4 year olds are both born in November) – and I have followed you since! I love reading about the attachment parenting methods you employ, as well as all the tasty recipes! So, I’m a regular lurker, mostly! 😉
I found your blog… gosh I can’t even remember when. I had a friend who was preparing for an unassisted homebirth (in 2008 I believe) and I was very intrigued by the idea. I was searching around online and came across your blog. Since then, you’ve become a HUGE mommy inspiration to me. Your kids are adorable, your view on parenting and life in general is something I can relate to, and I love reading what you write. Some of your posts have gotten me through some really rough times with my 6mo old daughter (major breastfeeding issues), and even though we’ve never actually spoken, I thank you for that.
I found your blog, through Annie. Someone sent me to her blog for s recipe and I found your blog from there. I enjoy reading your blog because it’s great to read posts by a mom who has the same beliefs I do. I like reading about homebirths and EC (I also loved our post on placenta encapsulation). You also post some fabulous recipes ( I’m still drinking that chia seed drink!). Thanks Melissa!
That sounds great… I found your blog through a friend of mine. I remember reading your profile and thinking about how similar we are or how much of what you do is what I’d like to do. I read because you inspire and ground me. I sometimes feel so alone because like minded women are hard to find IRL… so reading your blog makes me feel connected 🙂
Found your blog years ago thru MDC. Lov your birth stories, recipes and life in general with 4 kids.
I stumbled upon you in a baby thread on MDC. Abhy and Khena have the same birthday, as you know, so I had to read Khena’s birth story. I started following your blog, and by lucky chance, was invited to GP by Niecia. I didn’t know you owned the forum at the time, but I recognized your kid’s names right away! Faithful blog follower since 🙂
I am “come lately” to your blog, having discovered it one night this past winter when I couldn’t sleep and stumbled upon it. I spent several hours reading and was so impressed by your child-rearing philosophy and also a little bit envious that you were actually putting into practice what you believed. My children are young adults now and went through the public school system….worked out well for the girls but less so for my son. I firmly believe that school is not designed for boys. In any case, I’m a regular reader now and love your recipes, your photos and your thoughts which you share with us.
Thanks to everyone for their comments! I enjoy hearing what brings bring people to my little space on the web and what brings them back. I find it hard to believe at times that what I write actually inspires others, but reading that it does gives me a mental boost to want to continue sharing.
Thank you again 🙂
I will be “drawing straws” around 11am (you can still get in on it if you haven’t yet)… the shorts straws will be getting an e-mail with their free book code 🙂
Blast!! I am so bummed that I saw this a day late! Oh well. I wanted to leave a comment anyway. :o)
My sister (unprocessedfamily@blogspot.com) sent me your link. I enjoy reading experiences of another EC, unschooling family. Plus you live in another country and speak French and that is so exotic. lol Honestly I come back regularly because I subscribed to your feed and get an e-mail when you post. And I’m always glad when I get an e-mail!
