We have been in the hospital since last friday (the 22nd) and should be here for a few more days…
The official diagnosis: Hydronephrosis/Pyonephrosis caused by a ureterovesical blocage. She had a nephrostomy tube inserted two days ago to drain her kidney… a few more days in the hospital and we’ll head back home to wait for more tests to check her kidney function and eventually surgery.
I will update more soon…
oh I am so sorry she is so sick. I’m really glad you have a diagnosis though and treatment is happening!
Many good vibes for healing and strength!
I’m sorry she is so sick, but I am thankful they finally found a diagnosis. Blessings to your whole family as she journey’s down her path to recovery. What a worried momma bear you must have been this whole time!
Oh poor Willa! We are going to the Laurentians today for 5 days, one of those camp des vacances familiales. I will call you when we get back. My youngest had this diagnosed in-utero, and we had the last of two surgeries back in 2009 when he was 18 months old. Who is your urologist? I assume you are at MCH?
I am so sorry that she is so sick and you are in the hospital but you have a diagnosis and things will get better eventually. My son had a hydrocel surgery when he was 18 months old, I can understand how you feel. Try to be as positive as possible. I know it is not easy to go through a surgery with such a young child but besides all those feelings and thoughts remind yourself that she will get better, she will be herself again after all these treatments.
My thoughts are with you. I hope she will get better soon.
I was just checking your blog to see any update. Good to hear thay had diagnosis,I wish to Willa e speedy recovery…Take care .I wish I could do some help to you ..

Poor Willa. You must be relieved to at least know what it is and start on the road to recovery. Hoping she has a quick recovery!
So glad that they were finally able to diagnose this. I know that is only half the battle, but Willa is a strong little girl! I hope that once the surgery is complete she will be back to her old little self again!
Big hugs, sending lots of courage and support to you, Willa and the boys! Please keep us updated when you can.
Sending hugs, courage, love
and prayers….
Hang in there

Hugs to you all. I’m glad they have finally found the reason for her fever and that there is a way to make her better. You will all be in my thoughts.

Oh I am so sorry to hear. I know how hard it is to have a child in the hospital. I hope this is over soon and she is feeling much more comfortable
