We had a productive day today…
The kids let us sleep in until 7:30 this morning… but even with the late start on the morning (and yes, 7:30 is late compared to the time that Colin usually wakes us up) we got the house work done by noon… even cleaning up spots that we never have the time to get to….
We then got the Xmas lights put up outside while the kids had their naps and we were just finishing when they both woke up… Then the Xmas tree went up… With Xmas music in thebackground, Xavier, and even Colin, helped put decorations on the tree, and I got the stockings up too…
Both kids are in awe of the lights that are hanging outside of their window…
And tonight we are ltting Xavier stay up late to watch the Wizard of Oz with us….

It’s beginning to look a lot like Xmas….

(….though the Sushi I made for supper kind of ends it on a weird note LOL…
but hey! it’s Saturday and Sushi is my favorite Saturday meal 😉 )

Anyways…

Here are some pics…

    Hello Paxye,
I mean no disrespect at all, but I am very curious about this. It’s always been a question of mine.
I noticed in your profile you claim to be an Atheist.
What, then, do you celebrate during CHRISTmas?

I checked it out, thanks for the link.

I am much on the same page as Juli, although we do have some differences, of course.
I won’t elaborate now, but I feel sad for you that you were brought up not ever hearing of the Nativity, nor why Christmas has CHRIST in it.
It’s CHRISTmas for a reason. And even when it was abbreviated to “Xmas”, that goes back to Greek wording and still reflects CHRIST.
Prayers that the truth may enter your heart…

No “prayers” needed for me, please don’t waste your breath…
and don’t be sad for me I am happy that I wasn’t raised with those kind of stories…
should I be sad for you that you were lied to?
BTW….do you know how very Insulting it is when people say things like that?
I KNOW the truth also… and that is that there are no gods…

Look… what is right and the truth for you and your exclusive little group is not necessarily what is right and the truth for others….

and as for the “Xmas”… I know perfectly well what i means but it is faster to type and has also become a more secular way of saying xmas and that is why I use it…

    Anyways… Merry X-mas to you!

I’m right with you Paxye! Well, except that I am a christian. Well, an episcopalian. 🙂

Anyhoo — Christmas seems mostly like a secular holiday to me as well. And I’m fine with that. I don’t need to shove jesus in others’ faces in order to enhance or prove my own faith. Seems like more fun to celebrate xmas and say happy holidays — much more inclusive.
