I heart the heartbeat finally… no.. the pregnancy isn’t a figure of my imagination… there really is a baby growing in there…
The midwifes always looked on my right side whenever trying to hear the heartbeat because of my inverted uterus I was told… However, I found it right in the middle and heard it perfectly well…
Xavier was sitting next to me so I took his watch and was able to count the heartbeats… so the heart is beating strong at 160…
Xavier and Colin both had slower heartbeats at around 130 so it was a bit weird to hear it going so fast… Wonder if that old wives tale is true… faster heartbeats are supposed to be more common in girls 😉

Aww, yay! That was my favorite sound in the world too. So many of those wives tales have been true in my experience!
I wonder about that too… My babe’s heart rate has measured between 150-161 each time I have had the heart beat done. We shall see in 7-10 weeks I guess. Yah on the heartbeat, it does make it feel more real!
I think the tale is true, too. With both my pregnancies (both girls) I also dreamed they were girls and had a strong feeling about it. But as you know, boys are fun, too. Congratulations!
Yay! I loved hearing the heartbeat 🙂 I don’t know about the “myth” though. DD1 had a slower heartbeat that was always around 140 and DD2 had a fast one that was 160, or higher! With DD1 I thought she was a boy up until the very end (every old wives tale said “boy” and I dreamed she was a boy) but with DD2 I had a feeling she was a girl 🙂 Anyways, congrats!
