I have to say, I don’t really know the Imperial metric system that well, but as of this morning my weight is down 14lbs which happens to be 1 stone. I guess it is just satisfying to say that amount…
I am now more than half way to my first goal of losing 10% of my highest weight…
What am I doing?
Eating what I normally eat in smaller portions, journalling and doing a bit more housework…
It’s working… and my house is cleaner…
I want to start swimming again… I need to start again… I just need the motivation to leave the house and do it.
When the roads are a bit dryer I would really like to start C25K… I am not sure what attracts me to running but it something that I would really love to do.
Where do you get the motivation to get out there and get active?
Hey you, I get the motivation from going a little crazy stuck inside!! Getting outside, even for a half hour on the coldest winter days, helps me with my cabin fever. It’s easier than putting the kids in the car and going somewhere!
p.s. congrats on the ‘stone’!
I need to lose a stone and I can’t seem to do it. I’m only 5 feet tall and have never been more than 8 stone but now I’m 9 and my clothes don’t fit. I’ve been walking and the thing that motivates me is a step counter. I put it on my pocket and get moving. Hitting 8000 or 10000 steps is great and some days it is hard to do.
I bought some quite expensive Salomon walking shoes with Gore Tex lining so that I can’t use damp roads (common here in wet England) as an excuse not to go out. Just having spent the £80 on shoes helps me want to use them!
congratulations! my trick: i don’t have a car and i hate staying at home with my kid (who loves and needs to go outside as much if not more than me!). so we go walking everywhere or with the chariot and the bike! i am so looking forward to our big bike runs…
all the best with your efforts. where there s a will there s a way!
