So I got ready to go to the pool by getting everything together… made supper so it was ready when Simon got home… ate and then got dressed and left…
Got to the pool to discover that it is March break and there are no lanes for laps…
I really hate this pool sometimes… I know that I haven’t been going much so I shouldn’t complain… but the hours are terrible, the water is cold and often cloudy… there is too much chlorine and and there is always something that catches your eye at the bottom of the pool (how do people lose a tampon???)
If I could go somewhere else I would but this is the only pool in the region (and is 5 min away from me) and the closest pool after is a 45 min drive…
Anyway… I guess I’ll start back next week…
Damn! That’s so frustrating. I wonder if there is something else you might add to your routine that could give you some feeling working your body that isn’t swimming? Walking by yourself in the evenings? Indoor cycling? Indoor racket sport in the evening? I don’t know. I know it’s not easy with your schedule and local opportunities.
Oh yuck! I know how much it sucks to be ready to go and then be denied. Maybe it’s time to get a bike and a wind trainer? Ooh, or maybe an xtracycle!
Ooh – I’ve been coveting an xtracycle for a while now and have seriously considered having my current bike extended. Sadly, though, it wouldn’t fit in the vertical racks in the bike storage room anymore and probably wouldn’t fit in the elevator to get upstairs so for now I’ll have to go without. Maybe if we end up moving closer downtown. But then, it occurred to me, if I were a short bike ride from everything I wouldn’t get as much exercise as I do living farther away. Oh well…
that sucks lol… at least you were motivated.
