I remember when I was young (at least younger than today!!), I was hoping a revolution would occur to wipe out all the bad I felt around. I had travelled and seen some parts of the world, and I just couldn’t understand the way it was turning.

The few people with whom I shared that wish/thought of a radical change would give me some funny look. I was told to stop asking so many questions and stop worrying about the world’s future and that I could not change it anyway, the bigger fish always winning the game.

For that reason, I didn’t want to have kids (and I had 4!). Now that they are here, I guess I still want drastic changes, but I’m afraid of all the suffering that would come with it. I guess I’m afraid of the unknown.

I wrote a post on my blog about Surviving Progress. I’ve seen it last week…In the end, I’m not sure humanity wants and is ready to change. After all, why would we change when we can instead “progress”.
