Well, yesterday it was Hallowe’en, one of my favourite days of the year… it was rainy and wet, but at least not too cold…  Simon came home from early and we watched a few hallowe’en cartoons and got into the mood…

Colin dressed up in the snake costume that we have that I had found garage saleing a few years ago for 2$ and was Xavier’s costume for 3 years and is often used as a toy also… He wasn’t too happy at first, he hadn’t napped and was in a bad mood but once we got outside and walking he got better…

Xavier finally decided on a green ghost as a costume… so I bought some material about 3 weeks ago and got it done last week… it turned out pretty well though I hadn’t figured in the chance that it may rain and weigh down the material so that he had a bit trouble at the end going up stairs… it wasn’t too bad though and he caught on that he could hold onto the front a bit and he wouldn’t trip…at least the drizzle that was falling when we first went out stopped after about 20 min and though the ari was humid and the ground was still wet it wasn’t unpleasant…

I debated whether I was to go out or not with Simon and the boys especially because my pelvic pain is getting worse and worse… but I just love Hallowe’en and walking in the streets, seeing costumes and decorations and watching the boys trick or treating… reminding me of when I was a little girl doing the same thing…. I told myself that I would come back home before them if my pain was too bad…. the problem with this pelvic pain though is that it doesn’t show up as much when I am walking or doing things really, but hits afterwards… especially at night… and then I regret it…

So we walked and walked…. and walked…. for 2 hours and the boys went from house to house and got candy… building up a loot that I would have been jealous of as a child but now see as a mountain of sugar that I don’t want the kids to consume…

Here are a few pics…
